Edward Snowden ! And Nothing Else !? What makes me think about the Leak(s) and the "official" YouTube Video from the Guardian

What makes me think about Edward Snowden ? When i recently watched the "official" Guardian LEAK-YT Video, that was lanced in June 2013 through Glenn Greenwald & Laura Poitras.

Take a first look, that i took a second one TODAY, and took this SS (Screenshot, not SurmStaffel) right before i started this Post. Therefor you should take one as well as soon you look to the VID (in case you didnt (long before)). The Video @:

So, now as you have took it,  (the look), you can see (for the moment) at least, almost 76.000 Views. Through the ScreenShot, i posted, it is exactly (at THAT Moment) 75.725 Clicks on the internal, everBLASTING Leak that will go down in History (maybe (possibly) not through YT, but in History-E-Books, or on Paper ! However; Ed Snowden (o Yeah, my Father has the same (Pre)name: (Maybe i am a Target now ?).

ONLY 75.725 Clickson that (this) LEAK ??? Is just unbelievable !!!!! Why ?

Because, Edward Snowdens compromising LEAK changed (and will still do throughout Decades) the World !

G. Greenwald (the main HS (Homeland Security Target, he will never BE)) works for the GUARDIAN. And now let us ask ourselves: Since June LAST Year (2013), the Video has only been seen 75.725 times ? ONLY ?

You understand what i Mean ? Yes. No. However, someday you will understand (or ment to being understood)....

After almost a year, the Video should have SEVERAL Million Views: Or is this Video more unimportant than the Leak-Video in Hong Kong (King Kong) ?

268.762.612 VIEWS ??????????????

 From 2007: 7 Years. So: 75.725 * 7 = 530.075

However. The YT Video of Snowden is Manipulated.......???????

HACKED: Skype and Snapchat compromised
(As a message to Ed Snowdens Statements last year, from the Syrian Electronic Army)

"Hackers" placed a list containing 4.6 million names and phone numbers of Snapchat users and compromised the social media accounts of Internet calling service Skype in two probably unrelated Cyberattacks.

Snapchat Logo
A website called SnapchatDB.info made Snapchat user information available for download late on New Years Eve. The Cybercriminals announced, that it was an attempt to expose the vulnerability of users’ data, according to reports by tech news blog TechCrunch at The Verge. By Wednesday (January 1st, 2014) evening, the site had been suspended.

Snapchat warned of this potential risk a few days prior in a blog post, saying, that a security group had alerted it about a potential vulnerability "by which one could compile a database of Snapchat usernames and phone numbers." So you have to ask yourself, why they did not take preventions by then ??

Account suspended
Snapchat well known messaging app, that lets users send each other photos that quickly disappear. In its blog post of December 27th, Snapchat described how its "Find Friends" feature allows users to upload their contact lists to Snapchat as a way of linking up friends. The company said it had implemented safeguards making an exploit "more difficult to do." But that didnt help obviously! Up until now, the Snapchat hackers have remained anonymous.

Meanwhile though, the Syrian Electronic Army claimed credit for the attack on the official blog and social network accounts for Microsoft's Web phone service Skype.

A post that was published on Wednesday on the official Skype blog featured the headline:

"Hacked by Syrian Electronic Army.. Stop Spying!"

On its Twitter account, the group also posted the contact information of Steve Ballmer, Microsoft Corp's retiring chief executive, along with the message:

"You can thank Microsoft for monitoring your accounts/emails using this details. #SEA"

That message was an clear message, to the Whistleblowing statements, made by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden last year, that Skype, which is owned by Microsoft, was (or still is ??) part of the NSA's program to monitor communications through some of the biggest U.S. Internet companies. Another message, posted on Skype's official Twitter feed on Wednesday, most likely by the hacking group, said:
"Don't use Microsoft emails (hotmail, outlook), They are monitoring your accounts and selling the data to the governments. More details soon. #SEA"
Similar messages were posted on Skype's official Facebook pages and on a blog on its website before being taken down. The SEA later tweeted out copies of the message “for those who missed it.”

Representatives for Microsoft could not be reached for comment. Maybe Ballmer will come out speaking about it, who knows ? Last month Microsoft joined seven other top technology companies in pressing President Barack Obama to rein in the U.S. government's electronic spying in a meeting at the White House. Media companies, including the New York Times and the BBC, have repeatedly been targeted by the Syrian Electronic Army and other hacker activist groups that deface websites and take over Twitter accounts. I guess the international war for your Mindhas already started,
Alex Jones would say...

Anonymous: In the wake of Edward Snowden - The Strange Case of Barrett Lancaster Brown that noone speaks about...

Dallas freelancer, Barrett Brown, 32, spent already over a year in Federal Prison and awaits trial on
17 charges filed in three indictments including accusations of making threats to a federal agent and posting a hyperlink to "stolen information". His case has gotten widespread attention among groups who believe he’s being unfairly prosecuted. It is said, that on December 25th, 2011, Barrett (who received help by third parties) as the FBI files it:
"knowingly trafficked in more than five authentication features, knowing that such features were stolen and produced without lawful authority. Barrett Brown has transferred a hyperlink from an IRC channel to an IRC channel under his own supervision."

This hyperlink has provided access to data stolen from the Global Intelligence Company, Strategic Forecasting Inc. (better known as Stratfor), which included more than 5 thousand credit card account numbers, the card holders’ identification information and the authentication features for the credit cards, known as the
Card Verification Values (Card Security Code).

By posting that hyperlink, Barrett caused the data to be made available to others online, without the knowledge and/or approval of Stratfor and/or the card proprietors.

Another accusation Brown faces, is that he
(from December 2011 until March 2012) possessed at least 15 unauthorized access devices, in that he possessed stolen (Stolen ?...editor's note) credit card account numbers and CVVs without the knowledge of the card holders as well.

The Dallas native Barrett, who has written for Vanity Fair, The Huffington Post and The Guardian, said in 2011 that 75 names of members of the Zetas drug cartel "Los Zetas", would be released, if a member of the Anonymous group who had been kidnapped was not set free.

On March 6th 2012, after receiving information from Hector Xavier Monsegur (also known by the online pseudonym Sabu), the founder of LulzSec, Barretts living place was ransacked by Federal Agents. His arrest took place on September 12th 2012 after allegedly threatening a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent. Brown, who received a Gag-order is in Federal Custody since then.

As there is still no sentencing date for Brown yet, it has value to think that Brown will be sentenced after the upcoming fate of Edward Snowden, whos Asylum in Russia will end in almost half a year, as Snowden surely is Defcon 5, or Priority Number 1 or simply Enemy of the state #1.

Barrett Brown faces up to 105 years of Prison, according to Democracy Now (See the Video). Browns Mother, Karen McCutchin, although was sentenced early November 2013 to six months on probation for hiding her son’s laptops from federal agents executing a search warrant.

Lets wait and see...how this will turn out.

NSA Files: Decoded ! What the revelations mean for you.

When Edward Snowden met journalists in his cramped room in Hong Kong's Mira hotel in June, his mission was ambitious. Amid the clutter of laundry, meal trays and his four laptops, he wanted to start a debate about mass surveillance.

He succeeded beyond anything the journalists or Snowden himself ever imagined. His disclosures about the NSA resonated with Americans from day one. But they also exploded round the world.

For some, like Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, it is a vitally important issue, one of the biggest of our time: nothing less than the defence of democracy in the digital age.

NEW LEAK: Are Google Cookies used by the NSA To Pinpoint individual Targets ?

The National Security Agency (NSA) is stealthily using tools that permit Internet advertisers to track Onlineconsuming Users, getting hold of those "cookies" and location data, to ID targets for government hacking (e.g.) and to reinforce surveillance.

A slide from an internal NSA presentation indicating that the agency uses at least one Google cookie as a way to identify targets for exploitation. (Washington Post)

The NSA internal presentation slides, provided by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, show that when companies follow consumers on the Web to better serve them advertising, the same Know-How opens the door for a similar bird-dogging by the government. The slides also suggest that the agency is using these same procedures to help identifing Hackers (and Terrorists....?).

Tracking-Microchips in Chocolatebars ? Will that someday be reality ?
For years, privacy defenders have raised concerns about this sort of commercial tracking, to ID and object consumers with advertisement publications. The online Advertising Businesses have said, its method are insipid and gains consumers by serving them ads, that are more likely custom-built.

This new Leak about the NSA using these same commercial technologies, could fuel this developing dispute, handing privacy advocates a new argument for repressing in commercial vigilance. According to the documents, the NSA and its British Doppelganger, GCHQ, are using these (same) "cookies", that advertising platforms place on CPUs to ID consumers browsing the WorlWideWeb.

The intelligence agencies have found distinct use for a part of the Google tracking mechanism known as the “PREF”-Cookie. These cookies typically don't contain personal information (or should not...), such as someone's name or e-mail address, but they do contain a numeric code that enables Web sites to individually identify & track a Users browsing-behaviour. Besides of tracking Internet visits, this cookie allows NSA to follow the User's communications among the endless Ocean of Internet information in order to send out software that can hack that person's computer, for the final act, gathering the data on any given PC. The cookie is the connecting part between you and the Web. The slides show, that the cookies are used to "enable remote exploitation," although the specific attack used by the NSA against individual targets are not addressed in these leaked documents.

Christmas & Cookies are coming soon...
The NSA's use of these cookies (see left Pic) is not a technique for filtering through endless amounts of data to find suspicious behavior. Comparatively, it lets the NSA concentrate on someone already under suspicion.

Separately, the NSA is also using commercially collected data to help locate mobile devices around the world, the documents point out. Many smartphone apps, running on Android & iPhones accessories, and the Apple and Google operating systems themselves, track the location of each device, mostly without a Warning to the mobile devices owner. This information is more specific than the large location-identification data the government is collecting from Cellphone networks (Towers), as reported by the Washington Post lately.

These slides do not demonstrate how the NSA obtains Google "PREF"-Cookies or whether the company cooperates in these programs, but other documents reviewed by the Washington Post indicate that the cookie data IS among the information the NSA can obtain with or through a so called Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Order. If the NSA gets the data that way, the involved companies seem to know and are legally enforced to assist.

(Of course) the NSA declined to comment on those specific tactics, but an NSA spokesman sent the Wahington Post a statement that says: "As we have said before, the NSA, within its lawful mission to collect foreign intelligence to protect the United States, uses intelligence tools to understand the intent of foreign attacker and prevent them from bringing harm to innocent Americans."

Google declined as well to comment on the subject, but chief executive Larry Page joined the leaders of other technology companies earlier this week, in calling for an end to bulk collection of user data and for new limits on court-approved surveillance requests.

"The security of users' data is critical, which is why we've invested so much in encryption and fight for transparency around government requests for information," ...

...Page said in a statement on the coalition's Web site.

"This is undermined by the apparent wholesale collection of data, in secret and without independent oversight, by many foreign governments around the globe."

The way how consumers are tracked online

Internet companies store small filed cookies on a users CPU to uniquely identify them. Few consumers are aware of the full mesure to which advertisers, services and any given Web sites (including Intelligence Agencies) track their activities through the Web and/or mobile devices. This data collection mechanism is most unseeable to all, except the most refined users. Including, the available tools to withdraw or block them, have a limited effectiveness.

The NSA program, named Program Happyfoot (not to be mixed up with Operation Happyfeet), helps the NSA to map Internet addresses to physical locations more precisely, than it is possible with traditional Internet geolocation services. Many mobile applications and operating systems (OS) use location-based services to help users find for instance, Gasstations or Restaurants and Hotels nearby. Fact is, even when the GPS is disabled, most mobile devices still silently determine a users location in the background, using Wi-Fi networks or cellular towers signals.

Cellphone Towers are a
must in tracking down mobile devices
Apps, that do not need geolocation-data may still collect it anyway to share with 3rd party advertisers. Last week, the Federal Trade Commission announced a settlement for a seemingly innocuous flashlight app that allegedly leaked user location information to advertisers without consumers' knowledge.

Applications transmit their locations (to Google e.g.) and/or other Internet businesses, because Advertisements, tied to a explicit physical location can be more fruitful than generic ads, depending on the circumstances, where you are at a given Moment. But in the process, they appear to tip off the NSA to a mobile device's precise physical location. That makes it easier for the involved spy agency to engage in the sophisticated tracking techniques the Washington Post described in a story.

Those Leaks about the NSA practices unmask the difficulty facing online businesses, which have faced a repercussion against tracking for commercial purposes and their obfuscated role in the governments surveillance Operations.

"If data is used and it stops the next 9/11 our fellow citizens wouldn't have any problem with it no matter what it is," says Stuart P. Ingis, General Counsel at the Digital Advertising Association. But he says that it is a sensitive act to pursue the bad guys "while at the same time preserving civil liberties." Other defenders of online advertising companies have argued that its unfair to unify private companies with ad-tracking activities, with the NSA activities revealed through the Snowden leaks. Marvin Ammori, a lawyer who advises technology companies including Google itself on surveillance issues, wrote in a USA Today article, that "limiting bulk data collection by private companies - whether they advertise or not - would do little or nothing to limit the NSA."

One noting that the latest documents show that the unique identifiers that are being placed on users' computers are not only being used by analytic and advertising companies, but also being used by the NSA for targeting. He also says that there are things those companies could do to protect their users from the type of attacks described in the slides, like "not sending tracking IDs, or at least not sending them in the clear without some layer of encryption."

Similarly, he says, "Browser companies can help by giving users better control over the use of third-party tracking cookies and by making sure that their browsers are not sending unique Cookie-IDs as a side effect of their safe-browsing behavior."

Stanford's Mayer says the revelations suggest the need for limits on the data that companies collect about consumers. "There's increasingly a sense that giving consumers control over the information they share with companies is all the more important, because you're also giving them control over the information they share with government."

Lets just wait the next upcoming: Leak...

Anonymous - The Authentic Haunted

Since several years there is a Synonym for Antonym: ANONYMOUS.

The following Article includes Assange, Snowden etc. the following Article gets to be BulletPROOF for the allegation: Who is haunting Who ? Someone is chasing a NOT hiding...Pseudonym ! It's Real. And (Or) almost noone noticed...The Headline, in New York !

Hacker linked to Anonymous gets 10-year sentence

"A computer programmer linked to the online hacktivist group Anonymous who pleaded guilty to hacking the intelligence firm Stratfor was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison, prosecutors said.
Jeremy Hammond, 28, whose case has been supported by digital rights activists and others, also was part of a group which broke into the FBI computer network and later delivered documents to WikiLeaks, according to investigators.
He was sentenced by a US federal judge in New York after pleading guilty in May to conspiracy charges in connection with the 2011 hack of Stratfor.
"As he admitted through his plea of guilty, Jeremy Hammond launched a series of computer hacks that stole confidential information pertaining to companies, law enforcement agencies, and thousands of innocent individuals," US Attorney Preet Bharara said in a statement.
"His sentence underscores that computer hacking is a serious offense with damaging consequences for victims, and this office is committed to punishing the perpetrators of such crimes."
Officials said Hammond and his co-conspirators stole Stratfor emails as well as account information for approximately 860,000 Stratfor subscribers.
Officials also say the group stole credit card information from 60,000 credit card users and used that to make more than $700,000 in unauthorized charges.
His supporters claim he was exposing wrongdoing, some comparing him to Chelsea Manning, the US army private prosecuted for giving some 700,000 classified diplomatic and military documents to WikiLeaks.
The "Free Jeremy" website claims Hammond was prosecuted for "leaking information... which revealed that Stratfor had been spying on human rights activists at the behest of corporations and the US government."
The Electronic Frontier Foundation argued in a brief that Hammond "did not profit financially as a result of his actions, but rather, exposed uncomfortable truths."
Hammond read a statement in court claiming his acts were "civil disobedience."
"The acts of civil disobedience and direct action that I am being sentenced for today are in line with the principles of community and equality that have guided my life," the statement text said.
"I hacked into dozens of high profile corporations and government institutions, understanding very clearly that what I was doing was against the law... But I felt that I had an obligation to use my skills to expose and confront injustice - and to bring the truth to light."
Hammond also highlighted the role of a government informant, Hector Monsegur, known by his nickname Sabu, in the case.
"I had never even heard of Stratfor until Sabu brought it to my attention," he said.
"Sabu was encouraging people to invade systems, and helping to strategize and facilitate attacks. He even provided me with vulnerabilities of targets passed on by other hackers, so it came as a great surprise when I learned that Sabu had been working with the FBI the entire time."
The intrusions "were suggested by Sabu while cooperating with the FBI," and foreign government websites as well, according to Hammond's statement.
Hammond was among five people indicted in 2012 alleged to be members of Anonymous, Lulz Security and other international hacking groups.
The indictments cover some of the most notorious hacking incidents of the past several years including those against Sony Pictures Entertainment, Stratfor and computer security firm HBGary.
Hammond, who could have faced a longer prison sentence before his "non-cooperating plea agreement," admitted his involvement in computer intrusions into the FBI Virtual Academy, the Arizona Department of Public Safety and other government networks.
The Hammond case is linked to that of Barrett Brown, a journalist and former spokesman for Anonymous who faces up to 105 years in prison.
The Brown case is being watched by media rights activists who argue that he was targeted for sharing links of Hammond's hacked materials. But he also faces charges of threatening a federal agent. His trial is due next year in a Texas federal court."
